Then see if you can get help from modestneeds.org to see if it will help you with rent and you can apply on line. There are other possiblities with help from rent here. It is hard to find help for rent as I have tried two years ago in CA but funds weren't there and still not there which doesn't help anyone. Try these and let's hope for the best

Hello my name is Lisa. I am disabled with several medical issues with prevent me from working but I have enrolled in a online college program in medical billing and decoding, i am hoping after I finish I will be able to do some work from home. I recently got divorced from a abusive relationship and have fallen into hard times. I moved to Austin recently and for 7 months I have been able to survive until the divorce that is, not I have more bills than I can handle this month, I have had extremely high prescription costs and I am having trouble paying my rent. Please is there any help out there? I have been everywhere, with no results. Please help me ....

I know a lot of what you are experiencing. Recently my boyfriend lost his job and I am too a full time college student with 2 small children. I was forced to take on a part time job in addition to kids and school which is exausting. Anyways my big suggestion is to check with your local state office about getting on food stamps and cash assistance. They usually help. This will help get you through till maybe something on here can come through. Another thing is if you are not on the WIC program and your children are under 5 you should qualify check it out also at your local state office(or at least they will know where to tell you to go) anyways best of luck to you! Hopefully we both find what we are looking for.
